10/10/10: a global party against global warming

10/10/10: a global party against global warming

1.

Global warming
I know what thou art
temperatures soar and soar
tainting our sweetest joy and love
tainting trees and flowers of divine scent and hue

2.

Environmentalist Mckibben
finds a solution:
10/10 Global Work Party
across the globe
nobel Laureate Maathai is with us
Eleen Page is with us

3.

Put on a rally
create awareness among ignorant mankind
protect beloved earth
activism
grassroots level
protect our friend earth
from poisonous hunter
thunderstorm of nuclear waste

4.

10/10/10
remember the date
O earth, be comforted
relief is near if we act
O political sharks
eight tons
forty-feet long
Act. Share the tears of earth

5.

Pakistan floods
Gulf of Mexico
warn you
furies and gloomy days
encompass you around
repent and pray
'Lord, forgive us
we are knaves and fools
we didn't know
what we were doing'.

6.

Plant more trees
community gardens
for see the hounds
of global warming are just visible
remember the date
10/10/10

Haiku:sharp, incisive

Haiku:sharp, incisive

Texas soldier's suicide
iraq war:
he deserved better

Scorn of the angels
hatred of death:
sisyphus

Wild talk of extremist
the resort to force
more hell

Rainbow never fails to please
fears are over:
happy moments

A frequent pilgrim I
softly tread here:
muses shrine

Verdant landscape
peaceful stream:
haiku soars with new joy

Taking refuge
in an aerial citadel:
fell claws

Everyone perishes
I mean everyone:
nuclear war

Everything annihilated
nothing was saved:
not even my haiku collection

Surgery
morgue
third-degree game

In musing hour-
I cling to the cross
to adapt my haiku

Wed to Wisdom

Wed to Wisdom

Give heart to
the humble and downtrodden-
brighter world

Real source of venom
wicked transgressors:
lamb is our defence

Meditating by myself
I hear His step
but he never comes

Tears of grief
twin towers fall:
lunacies

Don't be occult
be crystal clear:
tribal lays

Stormful day
terror's vast weight:
haiku moves slow

If not today
then tomorrow-
return of the shepherd

I have been in poetry
for fifty yers:
I believe in it

Smug racial superiority
and boasting equality:
fascists at home

Not as I will
but as Thou wilt:
benign commandment

Satan will flee
pushed out of our land:
watch in prayers

Discontent, anarchy
disaster after disaster:
lunatic fringe

individual freedom
deep in ruin:
machine age

Atom bomb couldn't destroy
nagasaki shrine of Virgin Mary-
truth

Fundamentalists cut off
John Rigby's head:
persecution shameless

With Sober Accent

With Sober Accent

Unfettered by tyranny
regardless of race or creed:
free life

Two persons
reshape the world-
jesus and mary

How to survive
what to do:
nuclear winter

Answers can come only
from free persons:
antifascism

Raising cynicism
into a principle:
virgin woods beckon back

Fanatics
ku-kluxers:
incurable disease

Personal rights
individual dignity-
sunshine and rain

World of dollar
merciless struggle
piercing soul

A new world order
strategy for freedom:
platitudes

Paul was beheaded
peter crucified:
Nero was fiddling
